Being an entrepreneur in a creative discipline, whether visual arts, dance, film, digital, fashion, games, spoken word, writing or something else entirely, carries with it a unique set of challenges. In this panel moderated by local art gallery owner Darla LeClair, we will explore the perspectives of several local creative entrepreneurs who have been navigating these challenges and succeeding.

This will be a great chance for artistic entrepreneurs of all types to hear from others who have faced the same struggles. You'll come away with inspiration, ideas for new approaches, and a bigger network to draw upon.

Panel Topics
  • How important is it for you to know business basics?
  • How do you find clients?
  • How do you connect with the market?
  • How do you define your own success?
  • How do you stay motivated / inspired?
  • Why be a creative here in Wisconsin? In your county or city?
