Drop the Mic and Walk Offstage: How to Craft a Pitch that Will Get You Attention and Get You Funded

Two minutes - whether you're pitching for an important client or a top tier venture capitalist for whom you've worked months to get a meeting, it all comes down to the first two minutes. You need to make an immediate connection or no one cares what you have to say.

I've been there. As a former high-growth FinTech startup founder, I used to see pitching as just "something I had to do." I didn't invest much in my pitch, and my pitch continued to fall flat. And so did customer and investor interest.

But in October 2017, everything changed. I completely designed my pitch from a storytelling process I had learned. The experience was transformative. Everywhere I’d pitch, people would come up to me afterwards and tell me that my pitch was their favorite. Even the venture capitalist who eventually funded my company gave me a tremendous compliment when he said, "I just can't get your pitch out of my head."

As a former startup founder, now investor with Tundra Angels, I will guide entrepreneurs very tactically what NOT to do, but also more specifically on models and hooks that can be employed to not only get you attention but get you funded.
