Stories you carry based on subconscious beliefs you have adopted throughout life influence your interpretation of what you see and how you interact with others and situations. These stories can hold you and your organization back. In this workshop, you will learn Thrive Tools to shift limiting beliefs, elevate yourself and others, and amplify impact. We all have biases. They are part of our filter (stories) and can become detrimental when they operate at our or someone else’s expense.
Biases exist toward any social group, ethnicity, race, or attributes such as one’s age, gender, gender identity, physical abilities, religion, sexual orientation, and weight. We use biases to organize our reality and they influence positively or negatively how we interact with people, places and/or things.
Studies show that 95% of your life is coming from your subconscious/unconscious programming, which means only 5% is conscious. The intent of this workshop is to bring unconscious biases into your consciousness so you can make choices that are more in alignment with who you want to be and how you want to engage with others. It will also reinforce skills to uncover and transform biases to create more positive impact for you, others, and the organization.
The vast majority of people want to be inclusive. It is our lifetime of experiences (filters) that influence and/or limit our ability to allow it.
5 Ways to Identify and Move Past Detrimental Unconscious Biases: 1. Connecting to Your Inner Truth 2. Paying Attention to Your Behaviors 3. Becoming Aware of Your Stories and Experiences 4. Analyzing Emotions and Triggers 5. Using Surveys discerningly
